Ramrod Key

Ramrod Key is part of what is generally referred to as the "Lower Keys" of Florida.  Visitors to Ramrod Key enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, diving and snorkeling in the Atlantic Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico.  The famous Looe Key Reef and Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary is a short boat ride away, in the waters off nearby Big Pine Key.  Ramrod Key is approximately 15 minutes to the beaches of Bahia Honda State Park, which is also the site of picnic and camping facilities, shopping, rental cabins and a marina.
The National Key Deer Refuge, established in 1957, protects the endangered Key deer - and today the refuge encompasses more than 8,000 acres of prime Key deer territory that runs from Bahia Honda Key to the eastern shores of Sugarloaf Key, out to the edge of the Gulf of Mexico.

gives you a chance to experience the full flavor of the Keys, including restaurants that feature local seafood and Caribbean dishes and tiki bars, in a relaxed, peaceful, uncrowded atmosphere, plus it's just 25 minutes to Key West and 30 minutes to Marathon.
